What is it?
Aasra (meaning ‘to provide shelter/support’) aims to support unpaid carers within the diverse communities in Leeds. An unpaid carer is someone who may be looking after or providing any support to a relative, friend or a neighbour due to their physical, mental health or disability.
Within the Aasra group, we motivate and encourage the Carer to take a break and to focus on their own mental health and wellbeing through engagement with other Carers, various activities and ways they can improve their health and wellbeing.
