Live Well Leeds Befriending Service offers 1-1 tailored support for service users looking to improve their social isolation and wellbeing with the support of a befriender.
Service users are matched with a volunteer befriender who meets them on a regular basis out in the community. The befriender will support service users to work towards their specific goals, such as increasing self-confidence, overcoming social anxiety, building social networks.
We work with a diverse pool of volunteers in terms of backgrounds, age and skills. All our volunteers are recruited, DBS checked and receive full training with ongoing supervisions.
Please note that we do not offer telephone befriending or home visits.
To make a referral please complete our online referral form and indicate that the reason for referral is befriending.
