Covid-19 / Coronavirus Service Updates

At this difficult time, all of the Live Well Leeds partners are committed to providing vital services to serve users and the community. We know that the uncertainty, isolation and disruption to daily life means you need our support. We know that your circumstances and needs may have also changed as a result of Covid19.

We need to keep you and our staff safe. Some of our normal support and workers have changed. We want to assure you that our staff are working hard and have found new and safe ways to support you We are providing online support, and telephone support, and if we haven’t been in touch already, you will be hearing from us soon. We will let you know about any new ways to access services.

So that we can deliver services safely most of our buildings are temporarily closed. This means that all face-to-face appointments and groups are postponed until further notice. This includes the Befriending Service, who will be providing phone and online support.

We are providing support by telephone and our staff are contacting Service Users from across Live Well Leeds. Where we identify people at risk or who are very distressed, we will assess and escalate through the usual channels.

Important: most services are in the process of changing the way support is delivered and may have staff shortages. This means that information we have on the type of support and availability of services may not always be up to date. We ask that you are patient with us and please do not put yourself or others at risk by going to our buildings unless advised to do so by our staff.

Groups and face to face activities are now on hold. Live Well Leeds will provide telephone support on 0113 219 2727.

If you are not self-isolating and still wish to volunteer, the NHS and local support organisations are in great need of help and we can give you information on these.

Live Well Leeds will need the support of volunteers more than ever once the country recovers from COVID19 crisis. We are exploring ways to provide induction training via webinars to be able to meet the service needs in the future.
